If someone leaves a comment on the site they may opt-in to saving their name, email address and website in cookies. This is mainly for the user’s convenience so that they do not have to fill in their details again when they leave another comment. If any user visits the login page, the author normally sets the temporary cookie to determine if the user’s browser accepts the cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and the same is discarded when the user closes their browser.
